Greetings,

When looking at the source tab of the developer tools window, in the center box that shows the JS source, the system displays a grey bar on every blank line.  This is very annoying and distracting to me.  Is there a way to stop that?

Thanks.

Chrome Canary should have those bars barely visible. It'll hit Beta soon.

Any chance you can get rid of them or make it an option?  (I've never seen an editor do that...)

Thanks!

They should only be there for the sources that were fetched using the source map. They show what parts of the source are mapped the actual generated JavaScript. Having said that, we can revisit it and add better defaults to the blank lines.

Could you file a bug with a screenshot and a repro case at crbug.com/new?
