Coverage panel has become excruciatingly slow in past few releases

Try reloading this demo with coverage recording enabled:

I get UI hangs and angry laptop fans spinning for 10+ seconds at a time. The filter input freezes with every entered character.

Is it just me or can someone else repro?

I'm on on Arch linux KDE/Plasma. Tried Chrome, Chromium, Stable, Beta, Unstable. They all seem to have this issue. A few months ago everything was okay.
