1. Can you help me understand what caused the long frame in the middle?
2. Why are all frames marked green, altho most are over 16ms?
3. Is there an active Slack channel for people that use the dev tools to optimize transitions and animations?

Thank You!

Judging from the CPU chart it looks like there was a lot of painting activity. But the Summary tab says that there was only 21.4ms of painting. That 175.8ms of "Other" activity seems suspicious to me.

It would help if you can link to the site with instructions on how to reproduce. A zoomed-in screenshot of your flame chart (the Main section) might help.

The DevTools team is looking for ways to be smarter about how they color frames. I think they're also discussing just removing the color-coding all together. You can tell how long a frame is based on the width of the bar, and by hovering over the bar or clicking on it.

There's a devtools channel on chromiumdev's slack, but it doesn't get much activity. Stack Overflow and this mailing list are active, though.

Yup I bet that the Compositor or GPU tracks on the flamechart are pretty busy.
Maybe "image decode" or some big "Raster" tasks?

Hi.
I had saw similar case that not changed style. It's not accurate, but look at it.

@Birowsky,

Let us know what the activity looks like in your GPU section. It's below the Main section.
