Hide developer tools while device toolbar is enabled

I'd like an option to hide the "developer tools" window completely while "device toolbar" is enabled. The developer tools window takes up screen space which makes work more difficult, especially if you already have a small screen. I could try shrinking it or docking it to a separate window but this is inconvenient. A toggle to hide the developer tools window while keeping it enabled would be nice.

You can just undock it...

Click on the main menu (three vertical dots on the top of the Developer Tools feature) and select the leftmost icon in the Dock side option.

I know, I mentioned that in my post. It's no good. Also, when you undock it for one tab, every other tab also starts opening their devtools in undocked windows making the whole experience clumsy. But even if it didn't do that, it would still be much better if you could enable the device toolbar without the devtools window.

You mentioned "docking it to a separate window" which I was not sure what you meant. I guess you just meant "undocking it".

There is a remote debugging protocol and a recent post mentioned its use with device mode and I think it is working only when the Developer Tools feature is not running (generally a bug, but for you it might be a feature :)). So you might want to check that option.
