Google Chat API for appscripts?

Hi all,

I have written a method to interact with Google Chat API with appscripts, and if you think it'll be useful I'll use some time this weekend to publish it.

Unlike many of the other useful APIs like Calendar, Chat is not among the advanced services.

I spent a few hours re-reading my own code and making some adjustments … still need to sort something out before getting others involved.

I used this as the interface between a Google Form and a Chat Room that acted as our Help Desk. Users would fill out a form that had a request, and it would make a new thread in the room:

Curious, that chat service library I just published has a dependency to my Endpoints library, which has an appsscripts.json file.

Yes - odd the library is showing up, but not the repo.

The search API on github is super flaky - so it may have skipped it.

I did just recently push an updated readme with script ID.

Cool little tool. The popup gets in my way from clicking around though.

You can turn them off at the toolbar at the top.

Just about to release a new version with different views - for example where is a library being used and with which others..
