How can one get the full username from someone's email address?

Hello everyone.
Is it possible to get a person's full name using just their email address in Apps Script?

It means this scope is being "forced" on my app for no reason whatsoever:

No. But you can get their full name using the scope described by your screenshot:

http://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.profile

I believe it's a mandatory scope that's added to applications deployed under Google Workspace Marketplace. And you'll find it present when configuring the OAuth consent screen for a GCP project.

That is what I thought... but where is the actual documentation? Can you point me to it?

Outside of the OAuth scopes docs (https://developers.google.com/identity/protocols/oauth2/scopes#oauth2) I don't know of any specific documentation referencing it. But from what I've observed from the OAuth consent screen and the Google Marketplace app configuration tab (under google cloud console), that seems to be the case.
