Hi , I can not grant sendas to a user.

I have included the user in a group (myGroup), and with this script : gam user us...@domain.it sendas in...@mygroup.com "myGroup"  I want to grant the sendas to send emails with "myGroup", but Gam shows me: ERROR: 400: Custom from requires smtpMsa configuration - invalidArgument

...on other users it works correctly!!

what kind of error is this?

Thanks!!!

Maurizio,

If you want to do a sendas with an address outside of your domain, you have to supply several other parameters.
Gam currently does not support the smtpMsa parameter.

I do not understand.

If I write this command for other users of the same domain, that is mydomain.it to which "myproblematicuser" belongs) everything works...so if I launch the script for "myproble...@mydomain.it", it show me smtpMsa.... but if I lunch the scritp for "myoth...@mydomain.it" it works properly.

Is there a particular setting on "myproblematicuser@mydomain.it"  that needs to be removed or reconfigured?

P.S

    - "mygroup.com" is a domain integrated in the Gsuite console and coexists with mydomain.it;
    - "myproble...@mydomain.it"  is the owner of the  "mygroup.com"
    - "myoth...@mydomain.it" is other owner of the  "mygroup.com"
    -
both belong to the same OU

Thanks

Please show the command that works and the command that fails; include the command an all output.

First case:
gam user problem...@mydomain.it sendas in...@domain.com "Text"
ERROR: 400: Custom from requires smtpMsa configuration - invalidArgument

The domains are different, Google requires the smtpMsa parameters that Gam does not support.

Second case:
gam user us...@mydomain.it sendas in...@domain.com "Text"
ERROR: 409: Conflict - alreadyExists

This sendas must have been set up in the Admin console previously.

To sendas from a different domain, you must do the configutation in the Admin console, Gam does not support this.

Hi,

this is an example on another user equal to the "problematic one". As you can see I can safely remove and grant the sendas for the same group alias in question. (see image 3)

Thanks

When the smtpMsa parameters were entered via the admin console for this user, Google must have cached the values.
When you delete the sendas and reenter it, Google uses the cached values.

GAM currently dies not support entering the smptMsa values, you must use the admin console, there is NO current way to do this with Gam
