When trying to move 163 chromebooks to another org unit I receive the ratelimitexceeded error, and it give me 10 retrys.  Within the 10 tries the job wasn't able to finish.

I wouldn't have through that 163 would be a large enough number to cause this kind of issue.  Is there something I'm doing wrong? Is there a setting I can change? I googled for a solution but can't seem to find one.

I'm using a csv file with Asset Id, and what org level to move it to.

Here is the command I'm using:
gam csv site1.csv gam update cros "query:asset_id:~~assetid~~" ou "/Devices/Map Testing/School"

Temporary error: rateLimitExceeded, Backing off: 60 seconds, Retry: 6/10

Check out your gam.cfg file as there are settings in there to control the speed of gam and to ask it to back off when it gets an api warning.

I’m using these settings here:

api_calls_rate_check = true

api_calls_rate_limit = 500

show_api_calls_retry_data = true

Where would that file be? I'm new to gam, so I apologize.  I checked in the main gam folder on my C: drive and don't see it there.

Which version of GAM are you using? gam.cfg is available for GAMADV-XTD3. If on Windows, it should be in C:\Users\Username\.gam by default.

I'm using the PC based version.  Didn't know there was a cloud based version until doing more research this morning.  I really appreciate everyone taking the time to help with this.
