Cloud shell disconnection

Hello, 

I am running a command to get Shared Drive file permissions in Google Cloud Shell. However, this drive is quite big and the connection in cloud shell keeps ending before the item is done processing. It will see I need to reconnect to the cloud shell. Any ideas on how I could prevent this from happening or have the command run faster. 

Command is : gam user <user email> print filelist fields id,webViewLink,permissions,modifiedtime select teamdriveid <shared drive id> pm type user notdomain <domain name> em oneitemperrow todrive

Lauryn,

The Cloud Shell expects you to type or move the mouse to keep the session allive; other people have mentioned some mouse wiggler app.

Any apps in particular? 

Also if I ran the command locally on my device in the terminal vs the cloud shell could I avoid the timing out?

Cloud Shell is really not designed for long-term use like this. I'd strongly recommend moving to a dedicated Google Compute Engine VM. The cost is generally free or very cheap:

Hi Ross,

I sent you an invite to maybe troubleshoot. I've ran a similar command on a my drive with nearly 1 million files and folders without the shell timing out. Meanwhile when I run it on this shared drive it only gets to about around 9,000.
