Gmail Signature Settings "Insert this signature before quoted text"

I have 100+ users about to start using Gmail. 

I have used GAM to set the signature for all users but is there a way to automatically tick the "Insert this signature before quoted text in replies and remove the "--" line that precedes it." setting in Gmail?

That used to be a lab and is still listed in the GMail, Labs, Advanced Labs Management in the Admin Panel, you could try setting that to enabled and see if it still applies
