Hi,

Really easy question,  I have moved from GAM to GAM ADV XTD3 and the following command that exports data into a CSV file is no longer working

.\gam.exe print group-members group testg...@yaddayadda.com roles owners, managers >C:\Google Groups\ testgroup1.csv

Can someone send through an example of how to export data into a CSV when using GAM ADVXtd3

Thanks

This command should work as is (though there is an extra space after owners,)
\gam.exe print group-members group testg...@yaddayadda.com roles owners,managers >C:\Google Groups\ testgroup1.csv
What does this do?
\gam.exe print group-members group testg...@yaddayadda.com roles owners,managers
This is the preferred method.
\gam.exe redirect csv C:\Google Groups\ testgroup1.csv print group-members group testg...@yaddayadda.com roles owners,managers

Shivanshu,

<DeviceType> ::= android|chrome_os|google_sync|ios|linux|mac_os|windows

gam create device serialnumber <String> devicetype <DeviceType> [assetid <String>]

Make a two/three column CSV file devices.csv; assetid is optional

serialnumber,devicetype,assetid

gam csv devices.csv gam create device serialnumber "~serialnumber" devicetype "~devicetype" assetid "~assetid"

Hi Ross,

Thanks for the command, please help me to understand whether this command will add serial number within the RULE OF AUTO REGISTRATION OF DEVICES or the serial number will be added within COMPANY OWNED DEVICE?

Hi Ross,

I tried this command it says invalid choice for ios where as it picked android device and added it into company owned devices, if i look into company owned device bulk upload device template i dont get option to add ios device, i only get options of android/mac/window/chromeos/linux

I need  option to bulk add ios devices, i saw it can be done thru rule but it only take single serial number at once no bulk upload option is available.

Please help

You cannot do that for iOS devices. Google limitation. Devices will only be marked as company owned if added through Apple Business Manager.

Technically the limitation and requirement is Apple's.

I see so Is there any way to add security rule thru GAM for auto approval of devices for android and ios devices?

Hi Ross:
Here's what I get when running a basic command with >
     gam print group-members group example@domain > example_members.csv
A device which does not exist was specified.
Space/no space before or after the > have the same effect.
This has been happening for a couple of weeks, I assumed use of the > had been deprecated.
