GAM delete email from single inbox is not working from my id

Hi Everyone,

I am able to run command for deleted email for all

"gam all users delete messages query rfc822msgid:<message ID> doit" its working.

unfortunately if i am trying to run command where "gam user <email id> delete messages query “rfc822msgid:<message id >” doit" returns with 0 messages, Messages: 0, Not Deleted: No Messages matched. even though there is an email with the message id.

Tried with both GAM basic and GAM XTD3 same outcome not able to run command to delete email from single inbox,

Why are you using quotes around the messageID in the second example? There are no spaces, so quotes shouldn't be needed. You also do not need the DOIT until messages is not 0.

Your query “rfc822msgid:<message id >” is using smart/curly quotes, replace them with straight quotes.
