Switching off Google Classroom class invite codes

Is there a way to use GAM to turn off the invite codes for a large number of Google Classrooms?

Maybe this is the said invite code at attached file. (used to be called class code)

I don't see anything in the Classroom API that supports these codes.

Hello Ross (and Aisha),
in Classroom API it is known as enrolmentCode
When I run :
gam print courses todrive
I can see the enrolmentCode for those classes who had them turned on
After I tried to turn it off in one of the classroom and check the result with gam print courses
the enrolmentCode became blank (or NULL)
So I think you can just set with gam command to make/update the enrolmentCode (it is enrollmentcode in GAM command list under CourseFiledName) to NULl/ blank
but I have tried every possible gam update command, it is not working

The enrollmentCode is a read-only field; it can not be modified or deleted.
