oauth oob flow -GAM-please help

Hello,

Can someone please advise about this we got a message from Google to say oauth OOB flow will no longer be supported on my GAM from the 23rd of October 2022.

What can I do to reoslve this? Currently running a very old version of GAM 4.96.

Also im not sure how to upgrade to the very latest version can step by step instructions be provided so i can upgrade also.

When prompted during the installation, say you are doing an upgrade.

After the new version is installed do the following steps; follow any directions in each step:

gam update project

gam oauth delete

gam oauth create

gam user us...@domain.com check serviceaccount   (replace us...@domain.com with a valid domain email address)

The warning only says that the process to authorise gam will change a little.

Mostly only visible to users who run gam remotely.

But, the instructions when updating to a new gam will lead the way.

You should be able to download the newest version from here.

https://github.com/GAM-team/GAM/releases

Unpack and overwrite your current gam files. Do NOT delete your JSON files!

The you need to run these three basic commands to update your system.

gam update project

gam oauth create

gam user someOtherUser check serviceaccount

Following the instructions of each should get your gam nice and fresh.

I tried to update this although i fall at the first hurdle and get an access is denied message on my command line.

Any suggestions?

That's not a GAM error. Windows or some security software on your device is blocking GAM from running.

Yes, it's quite common that AV blocks the gam.exe as it's built with python.

Jay, would code signing be prohibitively expensive?

Or just make your day unnecessarily hard? :-)

Or would AVs still barf?

Im stuck on the scopes part im trying to select all scopes by using the s option although this is not doing anything please advise further?

Got my scopes all authorised and passed and got a fresh copy of GAM running now.
