Migrate Emails - only solution is takeout

As I read the wiki and the latest posts.. 

The only way to migrate gmail from one account to another is using Google Takeout or Jay Lee's GYB.

The Google Admin user transfer has been removed from the bottom of a the User Profile.

Is only for Drive Documents.

Any other ideas?

There are other ways. The GSM tool can do direct Google2Google migrations. The GSMME tool can read PST files from Vault / Takeout and migrate them back to a Gmail mailbox. Third party tools like CloudM can do Google2Google migrations

google migration tool from the admin console can do that (via imap) and it's still there. It's a bit cumbersome though so it wouldn't be my weapon of choice .

However this option is only available form the main dashboard and never directly from the user profile.

just to clarify - are we talking about a single person's gmail account or a domain?  

I can use settings -> accounts and import to add the "from" account and then gmail will do the rest, if it's just a single account
