I have been using GAM (just updated to 3.71) to manage our GAFE domain, and have been using the Google Classroom course sync option in particular to sync up members of specific OUs as students in certain courses (at this school, 5th and 6th grade teachers are the ones who use Classroom). This works fine for my 5th grade courses, but for my the 3 6th grade courses I need to sync, I get the following error: when using the course sync command:

ERROR: 400: Precondition check failed. - failedPrecondition

For reference, I am using the following command (and 2 other similar commands for the other 6th grade courses that have the same error):

gam course kga-6th-grade-brown sync students ou "/Knox Gifted Academy/Active/Students/KGA 6th 2016-2017"

The good news is that after I get the "failedPrecondition" error, the sync operation appears to execute successfully ... just not sure why I'm getting that error in the first place (and why I'm not getting it for the 5th grade sync commands, which are identical except for the course alias and OU name). Any ideas?

I am seeing that too. What is the status of the course? I have a theory that it is ARCHIVED classes that throw that exception.

Actually, all of the courses that I'm doing (the ones that work and the ones that don't) have a status of ACTIVE when I run the "gam info course" command.

I do notice the owner IDs are different, though ... these are the accounts that are listed as the "teacher" for the course. So maybe something is different with the user accounts for the teachers and that's what's causing the problem?
