it should be: gam user <user> delete drivefile query "name = 'file.txt'"

I did notice I am missing a colon gam user <user> delete drivefile "query:name = 'file.txt'" but still not working.

Thanks for the reply, I tried that and got:

ERROR: name = 'file.txt' is not a valid argument for "gam <users> delete drivefile"

Sorry, my version of GAM allow that, you need the colon style as you noticed: gam user <user> delete drivefile "query:name = 'file.txt'" 
Substitute title for name: gam user <user> delete drivefile "query:title = 'file.txt'"
