Logs active GAM

Hi everyone! 

Where are the logs of the activities performed in GAM?

I was looking in GCP but I didn't find it. 

e.g. https://console.cloud.google.com/logs/dashboard.

There isn't, really.

GAM runs it's commands in a local shell, pushing API calls directly to Google's services.

Many of those actions are logged in the various audit logs, if they are updates or changes of objects.

If it's only printing lists of objects, then that isn't logged anywhere.

GAM does not push logs of actions to anywhere. There is no phone-home feature.

However, in GAMADV-XTD3 you can activate a feature to log gam commands to a local file.

You could then push that file to any log service you want.

If I would like to enable logs in GAM, should I have a path in cmdlog?

On Github I did not see the corrective procedure.

Only if you want to place it elsewhere.

Does anyone know whether the cmdlog includes error messages? Or would that be in a separate log? I don't see any likely candidates in gam.cfg

No, the cmdlog shows the exit/return code of the command.

You'll have to collect error messages with redirect stderr
