Get if group Conversation history is on or off

What is the gam command that will get if a group has Conversation history  on or off

Hey Dan, I think you're talking about message archiving in Groups, is that right?

That's the option that means if you go to the web interface of the group, you'll see messages there (like this group).

You can find that with the general:

gam info group gr...@example.com

And look for 'isArchived'

To turn that on use:

gam update group gr...@example.com isarchived yes

And if you want to turn it on for all groups, there's a useful line found here

gam config csv_output_row_filter "'isArchived:regex:false'" print groups fields isArchived | gam csv - gam update group ~email isArchived true

Or to remove archiving for all groups

gam config csv_output_row_filter "'isArchived:regex:true'" print groups fields isArchived | gam csv - gam update group ~email isArchived false
