Hey Guys,

I'm not sure what is happening, with my delegating. But I gave myself delegate access to a user., which works fine. however, if I go to "See all Settings" from that delegated user. I get an error "Oops... the system encountered a problem (#403) Retrying in <seconds>" It use to work no problem, I am sure I did something.

If i do the delegate access manually via the user's actual account. the above option works without a problem. I checked the service account and it is passing all the options. What else can it be that I am not checking.

The only time I've seen similar issues where you can see the mailbox but not get to settings was a customer that had implemented consumer service blocking and yet had not allowed the target mailbox domain in the list of allowed domains:

It seems very unlikely to me that this works with accounts delegated in the UI and not via the API/GAM. Did you test that multiple times or was that a one time observation?

I've tested it multiple times, with various users, giving myself delegate access as well as given access to my other admin. I have another google workspace #2, and it works without a problem, so i know it has to be some kind of setting on workspace #1. I even reinstalled gam about 2 or 3 days ago. but this issue was happening well before that. it is just now, that I had time to investigate.

Actually, I can't figure it out. on some users it works on others it doesn't, I created a brand new user, logged in to make sure everything works fine, then I tried delegate access via the cmd line, and I get the same error. I can't tell or figure out why with some users it works, but then other it doesn't.

Is the OU that user1 allowed to delegate access?
I've seen this before.

Yup, that option is enabled. I have 3 users in that OU Myself, one superadmin, and regular member. I can Delegate with the super admin, but not the regular member which I created just for this. Would it have anything to do with permissions? like I can delegate with super admin, but regular members, i can't? or something along those lines?

I've recently run into this error ... and checking on the account for the change password at login, even after switching it to off I still see the issue when trying to "see all settings" or view/downloading attachments.

doing it inside the account settings works without issue ...  (before thinking about that opened a Google support request and they had no idea)

Hey Adam,

It does take a while for the changes to take effect. It has taken me between 15 mins to 1+ hour

Indeed ... this morning without any changes other then the turning of change password last night I am able to get into all settings, download attachments and the other things that previously resulted in the "Oops... the system encountered a problem (#403) Retrying in <seconds>" so looks like that account change needed time to process

Thanks!
