I have successfully created a bunch of groups, added the members, managers and owners.  I am also syncing the members and owners daily.   However, I'm not having any luck trying to populate Display Names for our external members.  Also, since syncing from a .csv file, my owners (all within our domain), their display name has disappeared to leave only their email prefix.

How can I keep display names in tact when syncing a role?  And can members of a group outside our domain have a display name if I have their First and Last name?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.   LOVING GAM for G SUITE!

Jason,

Group members have an email address, role, status and type: see https://developers.google.com/admin-sdk/directory/v1/reference/members#resource
There are no display names for group members, internal or external.
Your internal members have a lot of properties, see: https://developers.google.com/admin-sdk/directory/v1/reference/users#resource

What do you mean that the owners display names have disappeared?

gam print group-members membernames will give you the internal member names by looking up each member individually, but you get Unknown for the external members.
