Doc Owner and Permission Information

I am looking to find the owner and permissions of a Google Document via gam without impersonating as an admin. I only want to get the metadata and permissions of the document. Is that possible?

I tried 

gam show ownership <docid>

which gives in owner information, but in a few cases it fails too stating "Not Found". Behind the scenes it uses reports API which may not have data if the file has not been opened for long. Still unable to get permissions without impersonation. Any guidance?

Will it loop through all users trying to impersonate everyone and getting if this file is owned by anyone? I do not want to impersonate as the user to get metadata and permissions. Not sure if Google has something which can give this info as super admin or so?

For files with no activity in the last 180 days, this is the only way to get the data you want. You have to impersonate each user

until you fand a user that hass access to the file; they don't have to be the owner.

There is nothing that a suprt admin can do.
