Cheat Sheet for GAM

Hi all,

GAM is a very important part of my workflow and I use it every day. I wanted a summary of the GAM commands to quickly look up the syntax, so I put together a cheat sheet. It's grown into 2 full A3 pages that I've stuck next to my desk. I'm sure this would be useful for other people so I've made it available at goo.gl/1CRlcx for others who who are interested.

Feedback is welcome; no doubt I've missed stuff or made mistakes.

A3 is pretty large for my desk. Also, I'm in the US, so A3 is hard to come by.

How would you feel about editing to a ANSI A (US Letter) [8.5 in x 11 in]?

I wouldn't mind helping if you share source.

Print one out in color on letter. It looks great!!

Excellent work Glen! this is highly useful. I'm slightly ashamed to admit that even after writing it, I still have to look GAM commands up in the Wiki :-)

We should see about adding this to the GAM Wiki somewhere, probably on the getting started page? Many admins use GAM for 1-2 functions and don't realize it's full potential, the cheat sheet summarizes GAM functionality better than I've ever been able to.

Thanks to everyone for your feedback. I've created a letter version for all those in the US. It doesn't all quite fit as well as the A3, but should be more convenient for many of you.

Hi Jay,

Thanks for your kind words! I never realised the full potential until I started on the second (A3) page of the cheat sheet! Although I created it as a quick cheat sheet for people familiar with GAM, it probably will serve as a summary of GAM's power for those new to GAM too!

I'm more than happy to have this on the wiki. The getting started page is probably the best place for it.
