GAM7 cannot access Gmail delegates – missing Gmail scope in OAuth

• Hi,

  I’m trying to retrieve Gmail mailbox delegates using GAM7:

  gam user us...@domain.com show delegates

  But I get:

  Gmail API Service/App not enabled

  ---

  Problem

  During OAuth setup (gam oauth create/request), the scope selection menu does not include any Gmail scopes (such as https://mail.google.com/ or gmail.settings.sharing).

  Because of this, the generated OAuth token (verified via gam oauth info) does not include Gmail scopes.

  ---

  Result

  GAM cannot access Gmail delegation data even though:

  • Gmail API is enabled in the project
  • Delegates exist on the mailbox
  • Admin account has sufficient privileges

  ---

  Question

  How can Gmail scopes be included in GAM OAuth so mailbox delegates can be retrieved?

  Is this a limitation or expected behavior in GAM7?

gam oauth create - Sets up client access

gam user us...@domain.com update serviceaccount - Sets up service account access

I'm able to setup client access but when I run  gam user us...@domain.com update serviceaccount I get this error

ERROR: Service Account OAuth2 File: C:\Users\user\.gam\oauth2service.json, Does not exist or has invalid format, No data
Please run

gam create|use project
gam user <user> update serviceaccount
