Hello all,

is it possible to use Composer 2 in an app running on php7.4 in AppEngine? Currently I get the following error: Full Log

Or can I by pass the package installation within AppEngine and build the applicaiton instead on our buildserver?

Best,
Fabian

Hello there Mr. Hagen,

I don’t quite like responding to a question with another question, but:
Would you kindly provide us with the log yet again?

I understand that you likely provided it through a link due to the size of it. However, when I attempt to follow said like I get the following message:
“Locked Domain Expired: Not valid after 2021-04-28T21:26:59.097-07:00”
And can therefore not read it, unfortunately.

Nevertheless, I can at least answer your second question, and the answer is that yes, you can bypass the package installation (at least partially) by building the image separately and then deploying it on App Engine (or at least it’s implied by our documentation[1]).

That being said, given that I cannot see your logs, I cannot confirm this is an App Engine issue, therefore it’s possible that even attempting to build on your own buildserver will return the same error that you’re getting on App Engine. This is because App Engine’s image building runs on Docker, and is unlikely to be too different from what you have set up on your buildserver.

Nevertheless I encourage you to please send us that log again.
Sincerely
Felipe A.
