So in fact you were not shutting down at 12PM PST... You were shutting down at

6 Jul 2015 14:22:19 -0700 (PDT)

And my instance was shut down about 10 hours after that.

So why did you bother to write this very confusing "turn down plan"

You should have said in very large caps:

WE WILL BE TURNING DOWN APPLICATIONS AT COMPLETELY RANDOM TIMES DURING THAT DAY.

Instead you wrote:

"
Master/Slave applications will be shut down at 12:00pm Pacific time. You will be able to re-enable these applications and you will be able to migrate to HRD."

My 10,000 users thank you Google.

And, for me, I will now be doing EVERYTHING IN MY POWER TO GET MYSELF OFF OF APP ENGINE.

You turned one loyal user into one VERY P O ed user with this.

Matt,

Apologies for any confusion this may have caused. We conducted the turn down process in a rolling fashion to catch for, and avoid, any issues that may have popped up. I'd like to better understand why turning down your applications 10 hrs after the stated time caused issues for you, as well as how we could have better helped you migrate beforehand.

If possible, please do reach out to me directly.

Thanks,

-- Chris
