Does GCP have anything like Azure Scheduler?

https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/services/scheduler/

Seems the only options in GCP are:

1.  Install a scheduler product on compute instances, manage installation, cluster, scaling.

2.  Leverage Pub/Sub, Cron, GAE, Datastore to roll your own, managing development and maintenance.

Does google have anything like a simple scheduler API?  Any plans to do so?

Suppose Cloud Functions is pretty close

... just use the Cron from AppEngine to trigger them.
