Experience connecting to Cloud SQL instance from .NET Core app in Linux Container

Has anyone been able to successfully connect their .NET Core app, deployed in a Linux container, to a Cloud SQL instance? I obviously am asking because I've not yet had any luck, and would like to know how it's been done.
