My quota of the Recipients-Emailed is 100 and I have submitted for submitting a request for additional email quota in the link, "If your application needs to send more emails, you can submit a request for additional email quota."

My support package is Bronze.

Already two week has passed, I still could not have any reply, approval or deny, and message in the Dashboard is still "Your request for increased email quota has been received and is currently under review."

I wan to know how long to wait usually... I saw in the forum, ti's around a week...

Thanks.

There's no specific time frame to wait. Usually it takes between 1 - 2 weeks, but it could take longer.

If you have a pressing need to send email, you should consider using the SendGrid integration: https://developers.google.com/appengine/docs/python/mail/sendgrid#send_an_email . You get a 25,000 emails per month free quota and it's easy to expand past that.

Hi Vinny,

Thank you so much for your commenting. I will wait.
I am already using SendGrid. Also thanks.

Now, three weeks have passed and no reply.

Hi,
I am still waiting for the quota increase.. It is 2 weeks past.. Should I wait longer or any email I should send ? I have submitted the email quota request and provided the justification.

Hi Venkat,

Sending another email won't do much good. As you see from Ryota, it can take up to 4 weeks. As Vinny pointed out, the 1-2 weeks is the usual timeframe, it can take longer.

Cheers

Hi Venkat,

If I remember correctly, when you fill the form, you provide a number for the number of emails you want. I will assume that this is what will be granted?

I don't have visibility over the request you made so I can't tell you when it'll be done unfortunately. In the meantime you could look into using SendGrid if you need more quota now.

Cheers!

Hi Patrice,

I am not sure what’s going on….but looks like my email functionality alone is not working… but all other line of code works (like DB inserts etc) but just the Email part alone is not getting triggered.

try
{
$message = new Message();
$message->setSender("bk.do.n...@gmail.com");
$message->addTo($Email_From);
$message->setSubject(’Some Error Subject');
$message->setHtmlBody(“Some Desc");
$message->send();
} catch (InvalidArgumentException $e) {
// ...
}

Any issue with my account ? It was working perfectly yesterday evening though… and I didn’t make any changes.

The relevant docs are at https://cloud.google.com/appengine/docs/java/mail/#Java_Sending_mail

"""
For security purposes, the sender address of a message must be one of the following:

The Gmail or Google Apps Account of the user who is currently signed in
Any email address listed in Email API Authorized Senders found in the App Engine Settings page of the Developers Console
"""

Etc. These documented restrictions didn't use to be enforced by our software as deployed, but that just changed.

For "do not reply" purposes, I would recommend do.not...@appname.appspotmai.com (you have more
options if you're serving your app engine app from a Google Apps domain).

Just below this spot in the docs are the constraints about which emails can be added as "authorized senders",
constraints that have been documented but are now at last also being enforced.

Hi Venkat

I think there was some confusion. According to the docs, you can send from any of the following:

-   The Gmail or Google Apps Account of the user who is currently signed in.
-   Any email address of the form anyt...@appname.appspotmail.com or anyt...@appalias.appspotmail.com.
-   Any email address listed in Email API Authorized Senders found in the App Engine Settings page of the Developers Console.

You don't need to add "nor...@bottlekast-1001.appspot.com", you can use it directly.

The same document, just a little lower, says the following about which email addresses can be added as Authorized Senders: "All email addresses on the Email API Authorized Senders list need to be valid Gmail or Google-hosted domain Accounts."

So it's normal that you can't add it, but you should not need to :).

Cheers!

Sorry, made a little typo in my previous message. Should be "noreply@bottlekast-1001.appspotmail.com", not noreply@bottlekast-1001.appspot.com"

Salutations Venkat,

We experienced intermittent connectivity issues with Google Cloud SQL beginning at Friday, 2015-08-14 03:28 US/Pacific. The issue should be resolved for all affected projects as of 08:35 US/Pacific. We will conduct an internal investigation of this issue and make appropriate improvements to our systems to prevent or minimize future recurrence. We will provide a more detailed analysis of this incident once we have completed our internal investigation.

Hi,
I had this email ID do-not...@xxx.com previously and was working fine, but suddenly it stopped working after some intermittent error (Google Incident also is there).

you can see this entry in the old dashboard but now if I try to add that it’s not working. but If I have my account email id (xx...@gmail.com) then it’s working fine.

so I tried re-adding but getting an error:  An error occurred trying to add authorized senders. This may occur if you lack sufficient privileges. Learn more

so how do I add so I can send an email via PHP API (using the Cloud Mail) with do-not...@xxx.com as the Sender?

please help.

Hi Venkat,

Again, according to our documentation, you need to have an email of the following form :

-   The Gmail or Google Apps Account of the user who is currently signed in.
-   Any email address of the form anyt...@appname.appspotmail.com or anyt...@appalias.appspotmail.com.
-   Any email address listed in Email API Authorized Senders found in the App Engine Settings page of the Developers Console.

As for which email can be added to the sender list :

All email addresses on the Email API Authorized Senders list need to be valid Gmail or Google-hosted domain Accounts.

do-not...@xxx.com is probably not following this requirement.

Cheers!

Got it working finally ----- we don't have to add it manually --- I think the Mobile verification was not done before adding..now that I have done it's working..

(Not sure why it asked me twice to verify the cell phone verification code)
