Hi,

I have moved one of my projects into organization sift-ms.com by mistake while inspecting its properties (I think it was IAM / Admin / Settings page of the Cloud Console). I have no idea what this organization is and why I was able to move my project to it. This domain seems to be used for "Selected ion flow tube mass spectrometry" on the web.

I would like to move it back to "no organization" again, however I do not see this option in the Move page. I do not see any other organizations to move to, only this sift-ms.com.

Can anyone help? If my question is missing any details, please ask and I will add them.

Best regards
Ondrej

The Organization resource is bound to your G Suite or Cloud Identity account, now that you have added it. If you would prefer not to use the Organization resource, we recommend restoring the Organization's IAM policy to the original state using the following steps:

1. Add your domain to the Project Creator and Billing Account Creator roles.
2. Remove all other entries in the Organization's IAM policy.

You may read related information on the "Creating and Managing Organizations" documentation page, specifically in the "Deleting an Organization resource" sub-chapter

I am sorry, I would love to, but I have no idea how. I have no domain. My app is accessed using stravimat.appspot.com. I have no control over sift-ms.com, that is not my organization, I have no idea why I am allowed to move my project into it.

Best regards
Ondrej

Do you have a G Suite account? What is your project ID? You can safely reply to these questions by way of a private message, using the drop-down menu from the „reply” button at the top right of the editing window.

From the same menu, that allowed you to select the foreign, unwanted organization, is it possible to select back your project? What happens if you select your project? Are things back to normal.

Your project has logging disabled. This prevents inspection and eventual fixing of bugs. It is recommendable you should enable logging for your project.

I attach a screenshot from the Move settings screen. There is no "No organization" option, the only move Targets I am offered are sift-ms.com and Stravimat, which both change nothing when applied.

I am not sure what logging are you talking about. I am able to access Google App Engine logs fine in the App Engine Dashboard. Is there some other logging I could enable? If there is, can you tell me how to enable it?

Best regards

Project migration isn't reversible. After a project is associated with an organization, you can't change it back to No organization or move it to another organization on your own. If you want to move a project after it's associated with an organization, contact GCP Premium Support. You may consider reading the "Migrating projects with no organization" sub-chapter of the "Migrating Existing Projects into the Organization" online document.
