Hi Guys

After reading the Add On Dev documentation, the Core Reporting API - Reference Guide
and the FAQ's and looking through the other questions asked, I cant find any help on segmenting data.

I want to segment my data to only show Organic Traffic with "ga:users" & "ga:date" as metric/dimension.

Is this possible and how do you do it?

Yes I did however they didnt resolve the issue.

I sourced the answer via using the Query Explorer Tool - that gave me the back end ID for what I was after and then went from there.
For me, the Organic Traffic ID was "gaid::-5" - hope that helps someone else in the future.

I'm glad you figured it out.

By the way, the Query Explorer uses those methods I linked to to get a list of your segments, but if using it is easier, that's fine as well. In the future the add-on will likely be updated to get segments the same way the Query Explorer does.

Hi there, thank you for this great tool! I would like to check whether it would be possible to add 2 or more segments in the add-on segment configuration - like gaid::-1, gaid::-5 for one report? I tried a couple syntax, nothing worked. Also would it be possible to add user defined content grouping or channel grouping in the add-on? Lastly, for the filters, I have a really long filter with regular expression various Snipped IDs. I got error message back that it is too long. Is there a different way to make long filters work? Thank you!

No, this isn't possible. Only one segment is allowed per report.

Can you give me an example? Perhaps using the same query in the Query Explorer.

Thanks for your reply, Philip! For the long filters, here is an example, but the actual data is a lot longer, with various specific snipped IDs listed out: ga:eventAction=~555BEC6C9337AA8F4CE09F7F41D581376894,ga:eventAction=~04BFF174E19548B6D8C6DAE5FBB3F29DA914,ga:eventAction=~04BFF174E19548B6D8C6DAE5FBB3F29DA914,ga:eventAction=~EBC05D8EE7F9BDECF8391991486F80C47E91,ga:eventAction=~DD55FF6B931596FA643D445FBFB570945509,ga:eventAction=~DD55FF6B931596FA643D445FBFB570945509. There is no way to group them. Thanks again for your help!
