Hi guys,

Is there a way to compare the data between the same period last year? I would like to see the relative growth of certain pages.

For example:

I would like to have the page names in the first column, the pageviews last month in the second column, and the pageviews for the same page in the same month last year in the third.
I have managed to pull out the pageviews for my  pages both periods into two different sheets - but obviously I can't just copy paste them into a single sheet since the rows do not match up (basically because I've been adding new pages to the site).....

Hope someone can help me!

The second video on the documentation page shows an example of doing basically that same thing:

Hi Philip,

That's certainly one way to do it. I'm also researching this and would want to have a standard compare MoM or QoQ, etc. The dashboard video is a bit linear to comparison modeling and not as dynamic as what exporting standard GA gsheets would be.

There doesn't seem to be a clear way to do that.

This work around is OK — but here's a use that can break it. I did top channels sources and sorted it by traffic. When I review QoQ there can be Display data in 1 and no data in the other period. This range would screw up the comparison if I'm populating it manually into a comparison template. Also things aside, parsing together each of the other items will give me some definitive templates.

Would it be possible to use an expression of some kind in Google spreadsheets. In the report for 'previous period' a filter might be able to be applied using an expression that references the cells from the 'this month' report so only those pages are shown in the 'previous period' report.

If this was possible I think it would be very useful.
