There has been significant restructuring in the Google APIs team. Probably, Adam Feldman would be the best direct contact there (you can find him through the group here). At the very least, he would probably know the right person/people to speak with. However, I would offer a suggestion: You can export any search on Google News to either RSS or Atom for use with feed readers. This Android App could pull and parse the feed rather than utilize the News Search API.

Hi,

One of my cousins is working with an external organization (BodhTree) that is developing an Android App that uses Google News API. Since it has been deprecated and currently supports but with limitations, is there an alternative to continue using Google News in the app? They are okay with spending/buying a subscription but could not find reliable info on the web.

Any help is appreciated.

PS: I belong to the sales team and am technically challenged

Thanks,
Moaiz

As Jeremy says, there is no replacement for the News Search API at this time, but the feeds from Google News are available.

Thanks,
Adam

Hello,

The recent Google Reader announcement has no impact on the Feed API.  As in the past, we will continue to post explicitly whenever we have news about changes to this or other APIs.

Thanks,
Adam
