Test Ad label is not mention on test ad

Hi,

I am making a game in unity3d 5.6.4 and using admob 3.10.0 and test ads were working fine but from last few days device is showing real ads and "Test ad" label is not mentioned any where.How can i fix this issues?

Hi there,

There is a recent change in how Test Ads work for AdMob. You may now request for Test Ads using your live Ad Unit Id and the Test Ads will be rendered with a "Test Ad" label. Kindly note that these are only for AdMob ads, and not Mediated Ads. You can learn more about the label and Test Ads on our official documentation.

However, are you saying that, while you are requesting for Test Ads, the "Test Ad" label is not showing on your end? Can you check if you can replicate the issue with our sample project? Can you also provide to us the affected Ad Unit Ids privately using the Reply Privately to Author option?

Hi there,

Thank you for providing a sample code snippet showing your implementation. Looking into it, there doesn't seem to be anything suspicious from an SDK's perspective. 

However, it looks like you are trying to programmatically obtain the Test Device IDs. Kindly note that the only recommended way of obtaining the Device ID to be used in the Ad Request is by obtaining it from the console/logcat output. This may be the reason why the "Test Ad" label is not showing on your end since an incorrect Test Device ID will result in Live Ads showing.

I would suggest that you double-check the Test Device IDs that you are using in your Ad Requests and make sure they are the same IDs that are shown in the console/logcat.

Thanks for your reply but this way of getting device id is correct,it is providing correct id and "Test Ad" label for video ads are working fine but causing problem only in banner and interstitial ads

Hi there,

As previously mentioned, it is recommended that you use the Device IDs shown on the console/logcat in your Ad Requests to ensure that you are requesting for test ads properly. You may refer to our official guide on how to properly request for Test Ads.

That said, can you try using the Test Device ID that was shown on the console/logcat and see if you can still replicate the issue? Would you also be able to provide to us the logs that is shown on the console/logcat so we may be able to investigate further? Additionally, would you be able to provide to us the logs from Charles' Proxy with SSL Proxying enabled? You can refer to this document on how to properly set it up.
