Request Error: No ad to show., code: 1

Hello,

We are implementing DFP Banners with the SDK for iOS and we get error "No ad to show" error with code 1 (no fill).

The Ad Unit we are using is "/75638159/_p_portada_mobil_3_300x250//300x300//300x600" and we tried it with the sample app at https://github.com/googleads/googleads-mobile-ios-examples/tree/master/Swift/doubleclick/DFPBannerExample with the same results.

Ads are showing up fine in web pages, but not in a native app (which is not yet published).

Hi Toni,

It is expected that if the app is not published, you may see no fill errors with your Ad unit Ids. Are you seeing no fills with all other Ad unit ids as well? Can you please check and let us know? I have tested your Ad unit Id with our sample apps and seeing "No ad to show" on our end as well. Also, can you confirm whether you are seeing no fills with our test Ad unit Id using your app or with our sample apps?

Thanks for your response.

We get no fill with others, but not with all. For example, we are receiving ads fine with this one:

/75638159/_p_portada_mobil_1_300x250//300x300//300x600

But only in our app. In your sample app it is not showing up either.

As for the test unit ads. They show up fine in both our app and your sample app.

Keep in mind that that unit is a multisize unit. May that be a problem?

Hi Toni,

Thanks for confirming. For a multisize request, you need to make sure that you have set the validAdSizes property to specify the ad sizes that are valid for the ad request and multisize Ad unit Id should not be an issue here. It might be an Ad serving issue and I would suggest that you contact DFP Product Support and they will be able to assist you further.
