I have continually gotten a policy issue for an Android app regarding "Site Behavior: Navigation". I do not understand why or what is in violation. The review has no text or information to help me other than a screenshot of the app, pictured attached. The ad displayed is NOT covering any buttons or hiding any functionality of the app. I believe the reviewer is getting confused because the "Play" button is disabled, but that is because the app has not found any nearby restaurants yet. Alternatively, they can use a custom location like "Pittsburgh, PA" and go that way. Regardless, with no information given in the review, I do not know how to proceed. Is there anyone that I can talk to to figure out what the issue is?

I do not even know what the problem is at this point. There is no information provided to me except for a single screenshot that doesn't show any issue.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting Google Mobile Ads SDK support team.

The "Site Behaviour: Navigation Must fix" policy error is related to your implementation which might have to do something with the navigation of the app in general. We would recommend checking the following:

As stated in our Program policies, sites or apps displaying Google ads should provide substantial and useful information to the user. Users should be able to easily navigate through the site or app to find what products, goods, or services are promised. Examples of misguided navigation include, but are not limited to:

  • False claims of downloadable or streaming content
  • Linking to content that does not exist
  • Redirecting users to irrelevant and/or misleading webpages
  • Text on a page unrelated to the topic and/or business model of the website.

For more information, please review Google’s Webmaster quality guidelines and the Program policies.

What to do:

To restore ads showing in your app:

  1. Review the policies and guidelines so you can understand and identify the issue
  2. Fix the issues in your app and make sure it complies with our policies and guidelines
  3. Upload the new version to the app store
  4. Request a review. Reviews typically take a week, but sometimes take longer.

Note: If you think the app already follows our policies and product restrictions, go to step 4 and request a review.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for the response. Yes, I have read all of those many times and my app does not have any of the misguided navigation. I have requested new reviews, but the same result. i just get the same screenshot back with no explanation of what is wrong. Is there a way to escalate this somehow?

Actually this can be disregarded. This morning my latest review request has finally been accepted with no violations. Thank you.
