No Connection after reset

HI!
i had to reset my Galaxy watch active 2.
after reinstalling the Golf pad companion app and starting it, the watch does not connect to the phone app any more.
The App doestn´t start automaticaly. And manualy started, i get the message "Check the BT conection and start round on phone"
Of course have tried this multiple times. In both  modes.
All other apps on the watch are working flawlessly. So BT is working.
I allso reinstalled the phone app. 
I changed my account from google-login.

Please help!

I just tested this myself and although I was able to login to the app on the phone when I start a round it does not connect to my watch app on my galaxy watch 3. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the watch app and it just won't connect. All other watch apps are working and bluetooth/internet is working fine on the watch. Please double check the release as this is 3 weeks now that we've not been able to use the app.

No luck here, I cannot get it to work either. I have been looking for alternatives to golfpad because clearly they don't care about us anymore. There has been no reply to this thread for over a week. 

Ive still got until next September on my renewal but will ask for a refund if they can't get it working.

I can run app on watch, and or phone but they don't connect. Watch BT connection is fine.
I used to start app on phone,  it automatically started app on watch. I'd then go to airplane mode for the round to force watch to use it's own GPS not from phone.
All was good till last update

Played 18 on Friday 11/19 and 9 on Thursday 11/18. Used standalone mode both days and all was normal. Started with connected to phone then switched watch to standalone mode and turned on airplane mode. At end of round switched off airplane mode and score transferred to phone. Using version 5.6.7

Same here as jprigsbee3.
Everything is working well on my Galaxy (1) watch and Galax note 9 phone.
Start from phone
turn on airplane mode
turn off airplane mode at end of game
 save round on phone and click done.
 The app on the watch closes as it should.

I still have this same problem 'check BT connection and start round on phone. Tap to reconnect'. Been unable to use my Samsung  watch for amost a month now. Previously been working in both standalone and normal modes for years without issue.

BT and GPS is enabled (phone is connected and other apps using gps works so not a watch or settings issue.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled both phone and watch apps multiple times. Phone and watch firmware on the most current updates.

I start golfpad on phone and start new round. Golfpad on watch doesn't start automatically liked it used to. If I start golfpad manually on the watch it gets the check BT message and unable to proceed any further. Makes no difference if I select standalone or phone gps mode on phone app settings.

Is there anything else I can do to get this working again.

I had a similar problem last week after making some software changes on my phone. and found that under permissions location was not allowed. I switched it to allowed and everything started working fine again.

I'd go to apps and verify the permissions for golfpad.

Thanks for the suggestion but golfpad location permissions is set to all the time ...

Good idea to try my old phone sitting in the top drawer just to see if it is something specific to the new phone ... will test later today

I reset my watch and paired with my old phone (samsung note 10). After restoring all watch settings from backup I tested and when I started a new round golfpad it started automatically on the watch without issue.

I reset the watch again and paired with my new phone (samsung flip3) and restored watch settings from backup and the problem returned. Checked all phone settings and they appear to be the same re app permissions, location etc. 

Has anyone got golfpad working with samsung watch paired to a samsung flip3 phone? Just want to confirm if it is a settings issue on my phone or if potentially  golfpad issue with the new flip3 phone .... thx

I have the same problem, I have tried everything nothing has worked yet. I have an email thread with GolfPad but still in investigation phase.

I also have a case open with golfpad and they are investigating. I use an S10 with watch 3, no flip phone. I'll post back if they resolve it but you might as well open a case with them in case your issue is specific to your phone.

This is crazy the amount of workarounds.  I just want to play golf on my galaxy 4 like it used to work on my old watch.

Has anyone else had problems using their galaxy 4 watch recently?  The updated app and watch app have not roled out to me yet from Google and when I try to use my watch it tells me I need to update the phone app 1st, but the update is not available to me yet.

Hi Sean. We made a major update for our Wear OS app (Galaxy Watch4 switched from Tizen to Wear OS as you probably know), including club tracking, standalone mode, etc. The new version requires a matching update for the phone app. Unfortunately we've experienced an unusually slow rollout of the phone app update. We released it to 100% of users, but only a fraction has received it. Google Play support has been looking into it, and we believe the problem should be solved as of today. Please check Google Play for new version of the Golf Pad app, 15.82.1. If it does not show right away, please try restarting the phone.
