Strava sync non working in 3.5 official

When I try to authorize stava I receive message. Invalid token and the process will not reach a successful end. Only with the first installation worked once.

Which OS and version are you using?

Are there any messages logged on goldencheetah.log file (parallel to your athlete folder)?

I am using windows 10 and had it working briefly and then it failed. Unpaired everything in strava and then reconnect seems to be the only way to get it to work but now that is not working either. I've been downloading files from garmin connect to the desktop and then using the activity -> manual file function but it sure is nice to have GC scan for new activities feather when it works.  Tried to load a pic of it but that was rejected as well lol... says error retrieving access token...

Yes thanks, I've been through that thread all to no avail.  I'll continue to work on it.... garmin connect and then download the file -> import file in GC works of course !!  Now if I can figure out how to modify the PMC chart in GC....................... I'd like to be able to change starting numbers for this year so that I can match them to TrainingPeaks.

I just dont get the strava sync to work. Followed all the info here. Temporarily also disable firewall completely. Still just warning about some token and doesn't work.

Win10 and newest GC.

Now I got a bit further. Strava authoristaion worked and I got a token so should be good.

But when I try to syncronize I get an error:

Unable to connect, check your configuration in preferences.

Any clue how to get to the next step?

I've got exactly the same issue with Strava lync in GC. Error message: "socket operation has expired"

I've already seen the thread. I am already at the last version of GC; I just deleted one of the 2 entries of Goldencheetah in the applications registered in the Windows Defender firewall and authorized goldencheetah for private and public networks.

Result is exactly the same

Still the same. I revoked access to Strava for GC, tried to authorize it again, connected to Strava, ask for authorization in the 0Auth process and reply error 4 socket operation has expired

Is there a way to reinit the system? change the GC config ini file?

Sorry, but there is no GC config file involved, it is not even a GC problem so there is nothing we can do about this, except to try to help you to fix your system.

Strava sync was working for me on Windows 10 the last time I tested a couple of hours ago and there hundreds of users in similar conditions.

May be other users which has passed for this and solved it may help.

I must stress this, there are over 2,000 users linked to Strava and it is working on official builds on MacOS, Linux and Windows.

It is likely a firewall or network issue, or the auth process was not completed successfully through to pressing "Finish" in the wizard.

My Strava sync didn't work last night when it did over a week ago. Went into the sync settings and did the auth process, logged in to Strava, and sync worked beautifully. Maybe something happened on Strava's end?

Thank you all for your answers. It looks like I am the only one having this issue. It's strange because the sync works fine and always with other apps like Rouvy, Fulgaz, Garmin, Zwift and others but no stress,  I gonna update GC through import of .fit files.

Hi Olivier,

I fought a lot with this. Didn't get the token whatever I tried. Even took the firewall totally off to try. But after all the setting changes (in Win10) and poking at the firewall it worked.

But then I didn't get it to sync even if the token was okay. Tried several times different days.

After I poked on my router and noticed it had the FW on minimal protection I cranked it up to max. Just to notice I got problems with outgoing mail and shit. Put it back to medium. And now reading your post I tried GC again and (yipiiyayyee) it works. No clue why - but never look a gift horse in the mouth.

Are any of those apps running on your desktop, or are they all websites that don't connect to Strava through your home network?
