That's pretty much it! Using GC 3.6. Tried 3.7. Haven't tried 3.5. Seemed to work fine last night, but today GC just disappears when I press the start button when in "Train".

Appreciate the help...

In the troubleshooting section of the wiki you will find information about ANT+/BTLE issues (it is not clear which one are you trying to use) and how to diagnose crashes, please read that carefully and come back with more details if you still need help.

Figured it out.

Plugged in the ANT+ usb stick while wearing a heart rate monitor and GC functions normally. Apparently GC needs to sense a device via ANT, Bluetooth, etc, else it’ll should down when clicking the start button.

Sensors activated are recommended but not strictly required, the ANT+ adapter (stick) must be present before to start an ANT+ device.

Honestly, I don't understand the urgency to create a GitHub issue without previous discussion here for something you don't fully understand...

To lessen the burden of GoldenCheetah support and considering it is a mature product tried and tested along the years we try to avoid the undiscriminated creation of GitHub issues, and that's the reason you see something like this when you are about to create a new one:

and when users reach the users forum they are presented the following guidelines:

Unfortunately what we see in this thread is more common than I would like and I don't know if it is a reading comprehension problem - perhaps our information is not clear enough - or if users simply don't care.

Ale.

Hey Ale,

Is it possible this text was removed? I'm not sure, but i think GitHub changed GUI a bit. I noticed small GUI changes when i was posting about new splash.
I clicked on "New issue" few minutes ago and it say "Type your description here...". Looks like placeholder text.

Yes, it looks like a recent change, a few weeks ago the old issue template still worked as can be seen in  https://github.com/GoldenCheetah/GoldenCheetah/issues/4586, we would need to migrate to the new issue template…
Contribution guidelines link at the right panel still provides the same information, OTOH.

Once you select "Open an Issue" the form still is blank, we could add text to the body but I would prefer to avoid redundancy, unless it proves to be necessary, which -if the history is any indication- it will be...
