I have a mult-boot linux system. I am using the GoldenCheetah_v3.6-DEV_x64.AppImage.
My .goldencheetah  *.log, *.xml and *.ini  file are located on a mounted hdd /Files/.goldencheetah and my data is in /Files/Documents/GoldenCheetah/Craig.   I mention all this as the goldencheetah files I use are the same regardless of what linux I boot into eg Debian or Fedora. I even copied the .config/goldencheetah/GoldenCheetah.ini file from Debian home dir to Fedora home dir.
When I use Debian everything works perfectly. When I use Fedora the summary chart and map are blank. I have only ever used the GoldenCheetah_v3.6-DEV_x64.AppImage so it isn't the common upgrade issue with the summary chart.

Any recommendations? Prior to this I was only actually using Fedora 35 Gnome but I really like to see the summary data after a ride.  I did try installing the Fedora repro GoldenCheetah it did have the map but kept freezing and still had a blank summary chart.

Thanks,
Craig

Use Help > About > Version or --version at the command line to check which build are you using, the file name is not enough.

Out of interest, do you get the same information from the command line with Debian and Fedora.
I get a bit more information, but I have the app image RC1 Build 4010 Feb. 9

Also interestingly the CL --version produces different information than Help > About > Version

So this is a dev build from more than 1 year ago...

The later is more complete, some components are not yet initialized when --version command line option exits, notably OpenGL.

Hi Craig.
Have you tried the RC1 release candidate build 4010?

Steve,
Yes, I tried the latest appimage. They all work to some degree but don't show summary data or trend data. I may just go back to Debian, it works without any fuss.

Can I just check that you are aware that the old web-based summary chart is deprecated in v3.6?
We now use an overview chart instead.

Okay, I think I am getting the picture now.  Release v3.6 buildid 4003  which I have been using still had a functional summary chart and trends>summary chart (in Debian). This is why I didn't make the connection with the deprecated summary chart because in the v3.6 build I was using it wasn't deprecated. It does behave very differently in Debian vs Fedora which is what started this thread.

With the 4010 release the summary tab is still present in both activities>summary and trends>summary but doesn't display anything.  Why not remove the summary tab since it doesn't display anything? Seems that would help prevent confusion. Am I still misunderstanding something?

Personally, I liked the "Athlete Bests" on the trends>summary chart.  The trends>tracker chart has some of this info.

However, the trends>tracker chart does not display any information in Fedora. So now the modified problem is how to display trends>tracker data in Fedora

Thanks,

Craig

v3.6 is still under development, layouts are not final yet, users of dev builds are expected to use the last one available and to collaborate reading FAQs and this forum, for example https://github.com/GoldenCheetah/GoldenCheetah/wiki/FAQ-CHARTS#what-happened-with-summary-charts-in-v36

In CloudDB there are several contributed Overview charts suited to Summary widows, see: https://groups.google.com/g/golden-cheetah-users/c/E6uk9xsLdG4

Thanks,  I will stay up to date with the latest build and will read and follow the FAQ.
