In issue https://github.com/golang/go/issues/69538 I propose to carve out submodules for the following obsolete packages, then tag and delete them:
Applications that depend on these first three packages will continue to build, because they will use the tagged final version, which will never be updated again. The functionality of cmd/gomvpkg is available through gopls.
Please comment on the issue if you foresee any problem. Thanks.
