Hello,

I have troubles importing audio files into my Go Button on my Ipad.

I always make playlists in Itunes, so I have a good view on what to import in what show.

But sometimes, some audio files cannot be imported from Itunes into Go Button.

I always get the error:

"Protected media - Go Button Pro is not allowed to play this track. It must be an unprotected music format like iTunes plus".

How can I fix this?

I've tried everything...

I also have apple music, so I understand that the tracks of Apple Music cannot be putted into Go Button.

But now also my downloaded tracks of youtube and other media cannot be putted into Go Button.

Thanks for helping me.

Kind regards,

Leendert De Vis

It found it awkward to import audio through ITunes.
I now email to my IPad the song I want. Then tap on the song to download. If you press the downloaded song, you will be able to select where you want to import the song. I choose Go Button.
This to me is a lot easier.
Hope this helps.

Using tracks from your Music Library in your show can be convenient, but it is often less reliable in the long term than importing the files directly -- for the main reason that the tracks in your Library are controlled by iTunes or the iOS Music app control and not by Go Button itself.

As KellyW points out, it is very often worth the time to import your audio files into Go Button. This way, Go Button has direct file access to the audio files your show needs. When creating your cues, you can find your audio files in the "Documents" tab of the Media Picker.

In addition to importing via email attachments, there are several other ways to import audio into Go Button on iOS. AirDrop is my personal choice.

This page in the Go Button documentation discusses this in more detail:
