Dear All,

I wish to know of any links to research papers or articles on the socio-economic status prevailing just say 10 years before Goa's freedom and 20 ot do in Gos after freedom. 
If, socio-cultural index for those periods available in libraries or in any books, i would be grateful for any links or papers or names of books.

Hi Eugene,
Please check 'Goa e as Praças Do Norte' by Raquel Soeiro de Brito.
It is a brilliant publication, complete with very concise information about socio-economic aspects of Goa, including many pullout maps of the entire state relating to various socio-economic statistics.
It was written in the 1966, but most of the data relates to pre-1961 period.
You would need to check out  this book if you are going to research this topic.
If you need a copy in Goa, I have one with a friend there.
