If you have not read ‘Soaring Spirit…Margao’s Espírito Santo Church’, a 400 page book, I strongly recommend it for your Reading Wish List.

Whether you have a connection to Margao or not, the book will absorb your interest not only in the storytelling but also with the delve into Salcete history. The breadth of Valmiki’s assiduous research partly displays with the beautiful picture photographs within its covers.

Don’t know whether the book is still available for sale or not, but here is a link to its description.

I am one who hasn't read the book. When I was in Goa last year, I tried to look for it but without success. In fact, I remember Valmiki saying on a forum that he plans to rework the book. Not sure if he's working on it, Maybe Fred could enlighten me on this.

To read a brief excerpt on Goanet, click on the link at the bottom of that page and you will get a good sense of Valmiki’s prose and research depth.
