Book Launches and Film Presentations at the Serendipity Arts Festival 2022

 As you might know, Serendipity Arts Festival 2022 is going to be held from 15th till 23rd December. This year, they are organising a few literary conversations and book launches. They are also hosting a very interesting event on Portuguese filmmaking in Goa called "Portuguese Cinema and the Imagination of Goa". I have listed below some details on each of the literary events which are to be held at the Old GMC Building, Panjim. 

In Conversation with Naresh Fernandes: 19 Dec, 12–1pm

A conversation with Naresh Fernandes around his book Taj Mahal Foxtrot: The Story of Bombay’s Jazz Age, which is part of India by Book in the 21st Century.  

Portuguese Cinema and the Imagination of Goa: 19 Dec, 4:30–5:30pm

 A presentation by Helder Beja supported by frames and clips of Amor and Spiguel films, as well as clips of most recent productions shot in Goa by Portuguese filmmakers

In Conversation with Suraj Yengde: 20 Dec, 4–5pm
A conversation with Suraj Yengde around his book Caste Matters, which is part of India by Book in the 21st Century

In Conversation with Robert Stephens: 18 Dec, 4–5pm
A conversation with Robert Stephens around his book Bombay Imagined: An Illustrated History of the Unbuilt City, which is part of India by Book in the 21st Century

The Vanishing Point: Moving Images After Video: 17 Dec, 4–5pm

A conversation between Rashmi Sawhney and Ashish Rajadhyaksha around Tulika Books’ ‘India Since the 90s’ series

In Conversation with Dr Lakshmi Subramanian: 17 Dec, 12–1pm 

A conversation with Dr. Lakshmi Subramanian around her book From the Tanjore Court to the Madras Music Academy: A Social History of Music in South India, which is part of India by Book in the 21st Century
