Hello,
We invite interested individuals with a long-standing or generational connection to Goa, to contribute a short chapter to an upcoming book series on Goa’s towns — Panjim, Margao, Vasco, Mapusa, Ponda, Bicholim, Quepem, Sanguem and others — as part of our Memory as Archive project.
This initiative to create a People's Archive of Our Towns seeks to document the lived histories of these towns through personal narratives, memories and recollections. We welcome narratives drawn from your own experiences, or those of family members and others, covering the period from before 1961 through to the end of the 1990s.
Contributions may reflect on childhood, education, work and occupations, community and civic life, political engagement, or the people and institutions that shaped everyday life — clubs, shops, businesses, transport systems, sports cultures, neighbourhood spaces, and other aspects of the town’s social and cultural fabric.
