Minutes back, learnt of the passing of my classmate, Richard Cabral, with whom I shared English classroom benches way back in 1985-87 (first batch of the newly set up Goa Univ).
Managed to track online some of the books he wrote, but this might not be a complete list:
Richard / Ricardo Cabral (Goa-based author) —  sometimes credited as Ricardo Cabral rather than Richard, and his work focuses on Goan education and Konkani language study:
* Legal History Of Higher Education In Portuguese Goa — a study of the legal underpinnings of teacher education in colonial Goa.
* The Development of Teacher Education in Portuguese Goa (1841-1961) — detailed academic history of teacher education under Portuguese rule.
* Primary Education in Portuguese Goa: A Historical Perspective — history of Goa’s primary schooling system during the Portuguese era.
* Konkani In The Roman Script: A Short Grammatical Study — a grammar and linguistic study of Konkani written in the Roman script, with discussion of dialects and orthography.
He had retired recently, and was a man of ideas... and surely would have plans to put out more work. His smile and intellectual work will be missed
