Since this an extensive topic and we
have divided its presentation into
four parts.
We made special efforts to outline the cause-and-effect of
actions undertaken in the Overseas Territories (OT), so that readers have
additional understanding of the geopolitical and strategic rationale into
historical events. Many of these contradict hand-me-down impressions
that have persisted among Indo-Lusitanos about our own history. Knowing our
history prevents others from distorting and maligning our story.
