Goa’s Chief Minster (CM)
suggested in his oversight
and exuberance, the purging of 451 years of Goa’s history. Such lapses can happen to any of us, especially when
caught in political jingoism.
Yet it is ironical that this speech in Goa is at precisely the same time the boss of his party, Prime Minister Narender Modi was telling a joint session of
Congress in Washington, DC that India is a democracy and an all-inclusive
society.
What is the Konkani proverb for such situations?
