Dear members,

I am delighted to share with you the cover of my forthcoming book "Guts, Glory and Empire: The Epic Story of Goans in Zanzibar, 1865-1910," published by Speaking Tiger, which will be released in 20 days, and available on amazon and leading bookstores across South Asia.

It's a human story about Goans who arrived in Zanzibar doing modest jobs and went on to become incredibly wealthy. It reads like a novel but at the same time, lets you have a very unique glimpse of 19th century Goan society, their ambitious, their politics, their petty jealousies, fears and prejudices. It's fast-paced and entertaining, the sort of history book on Goa you've not read before.
